Arboretum Dancers

Arboretum Dancers is one of four new paintings I will drop off at the Dallas Arboretum tomorrow for the Garden Gallery juried art competition. Judges will announce the selected works February 22 - please cross your fingers and toes for me, I would love to be a part of this amazing show again in 2010.

Garden Gallery juried works will be on display in the historic DeGolyer House on the grounds throughout the month of March, and in conjunction with Artscape, the juried Art Fair that will be held March 20-21, 2010. If you're in the neighborhood, come by and see me at Artscape. I'll be in Booth 11, wearing a goofy hat with a bit of green paint on my nose.

Thank you Missy Muse, I like to imagine they are bobbing their heads to their own flowery drummer. xoxo

Cold winter days with a record 12 inches of snow and you're still seeing beautiful blooming flowers! This is another beauty..good luck with the judging.

By the way, Angela will get in touch with us about lunch when she has spring break..in a few weeks.

Thank you Ann and Angela - can't wait to get together with you ladies and talk art!

Sherry, thank you so much, I wish you could come to the Arboretum with me and stand on the spot where these grew, it's my favorite in the whole garden!

Connie, I appreciate the kind remarks, love your blog and I love those fabrics!

Ed have you guys been watching Westminster? I had to turn it off, Howie was getting over-excited. Thank you and your latest works are breathtaking!

Hey Nancy,
this is a great painting...
with the dancers, center stage...
but the softly painted backdrop gives them a wonderful place to perform. (I like your title btw).
lotsa luck

I too love to see the flowers in a natural habitat! (Love the 10x20 red geranium pce too.) What wonderful value contrasts in the lavenders! With work like this I'm sure you'll get juried in, no problem!!
