Just a Little Blue - Hydrangea

Just a Little Blue - Hydrangea
by Nancy Medina

SOLD to a Southlake, TX Collector
8X8
Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas

I was so pleased to be contacted by Weimaraner Rescue a few weeks ago and invited to donate a work for their annual Weim & Cheese Fundraiser. Their brochure for the gala event is almost as elegant as these beautiful dogs. If you are an artist friend reading this today, I hope you will think about giving a painting to your favorite animal rescue. It may seem like a small thing, but it can make a big difference in the lives of the four-footed ones in need of medical care and love.

Our silent auction for Dallas Fort Worth Pug Rescue raised thousands of dollars in October 2009. It was our best auction event ever, thanks to artists from around the country who donated some beautiful works to help these sweet little puggies. Melissa Langer from Pugnotes, Dawn from Lydia and Pugs, and many others gave their handcrafted and beautifully designed originals to help. What a great way to paw it forward!

I've owned 5 Weims over the years and I know why this rescue organization is such an important one. A tough breed to own if one isn't aware of its particular quirks. Gorgeous and spirited dogs, for sure. Thank you, Nancy, for supporting them and for loving all breeds, not just your wonderful and precious Pugs. This hydrangea painting is truly stunning and one of my favorites.
