Glorious Glads Floral Still Life

Glorious Glads by Nancy Medina
Oil on Canvas

Artist contact:

Glorious Glads is a still life in a rainbow of color drying on the easel in Flower Mound Studio this evening. I'm having quite a fling with gladioli lately. This large painting would light up a kitchen, and I can hardly wait for the edges to dry so I can slip it into a frame to see the final effect.

I was tickled pink (and red and yellow and purple!) to learn yesterday I was juried into the Daily Painters International Art Gallery, made up of 100 artists from around the globe. What a talented group and what an honor to be counted as a member. I hope you'll take a peek at the new site widget on my blog and see some art from all over the world.

Madison has done a great job of making every category easy to find so be sure to check out the florals! Who knows, you might just see some gladioli there....

My moms and I don't understand how you can make soooo much beauty for us and the world to look at.
You are amazing. You work so much and supervise your office assistants and still have time to make beauty- and these truly are a beauty

Nancy, I have been enjoying your glads, but have not taken the time to comment; outstanding work! I buy gladiolas quite often because they make a huge, tall statement in a vase for little $. Congratulations on the Daily Painters International, I will check it're all over the place!!

I just marked your spring show on the calendar and will see you then.

This is truly light and beautiful, Nancy. I love the window behind too! Brighten up a kitchen? It would brighten up any room!

Angela I am looking forward to seeing you at Artscape lady, it seems like ages since we had lunch and you let me eat all the dessert! : )

Thank you Autumn, I have a kitchen nook with yellow walls and when this is dry I am going to hang it up and see what happens to the space!

Thank you Irit! are you getting that torrential rain?? We have your sunshine in Dallas today. : )

Christine, do you think if I keep this up that I'll be able to retire and live in a cardboard box under the interstate on all my art earnings soon? : )
