Blue Moon Blooms - Sunflowers and Pansies

Blue Moon Blooms - Sunflowers and Pansies

Oil on Canvas
Daily Painters Gallery

I began painting Blue Moon Blooms in one decade, and finished the painting in another decade - January 2010! This new container garden was also painted following a rare blue moon, the second full moon in a month. I don't know much about Blue Moons or astronomy, but I do like the song quite a bit.

Hi Nancy
Your blue moon blooms are gorgeous.
My bloggie story was about the Blue Moon too.
I think today we were 2 peas in a pod.

I like the song too! I have never seen red hydrangeas, Nancy. They look so lovely!

I just LOVE your paintings! They are so happy and joyous on this cold dreary winter day.

We looked for the blue moon but didn't see any difference. The painting is lovely.

Happy New Year to you and the pugs!

Well, thank you for gorgeous flowers, while our world is covered with snow! I love the title, too. I think if I had to choose, my favorite flowers would be sunflowers and hydrangeas. I always think of hydrangeas as coastal flowers, but I guess they grow in Flower Mound, too!
