Afternoon Blossoms - Hydrangeas

Afternoon Blossoms - Hydrangeas
Oil on Canvas

Images from the Dallas Arboretum

I can't wait until the spring blooms and bulbs start making an appearance at the Dallas Arboretum again. The best part about being juried into Artscape in the spring is knowing I will have three days to stroll around the tulips and azaleas on my breaks and to see the park transformed into a world of color.

I promise to keep my camera handy and give you another tour of the grounds March 20-21, 2010, after Carlos and I have the tent set up and the signs hung and the guest book all ready. Better yet, come on out and visit! There is never a better time to be at the Dallas Arboretum than during the Dallas Blooms Festival. I hope to see you there.

Oh Nancy! This background is so stunning looking; beautiful color choices! And my second favorite flower in the whole world? Wow! Just a feast for sore eyes!

I love this one.
It has a bit of mystery...
unspoken definition.
It knows it's awesome w/o declaring it.

Thank you Ed! Autumn, what is your absolute fav? Sunflowers? Thank you Jill, I appreciate that. I wanted to give a feeling of distance and atmosphere and hopefully got that in successfully.

These flowers are amazingly beautiful.
Many swirls of colors and we love them all.
