Tiny Red Poppies and Lilacs

Tiny Red Poppies and Lilacs
Oil on Linen

Tiny red poppies bloomed on the canvas while the rain turned to fat flakes of snow outside the large window of Flower Mound Art Studio today. The studio assistants ventured outdoors only with gentle prompting to tiptoe through the icy wet stuff in the yard. This was almost the perfect vacation day at home. The only thing that would make it nicer would be to have another full week of vacation days ahead. And maybe a nice big cuppa hot cocoa with whipped creme and flakes of milk chocolate on top. Do you think if I text my order the hubby will deliver it to the studio on a plate with two butter cookies? It's worth a try! I'll let you know what happens.

As to the hot cocoa, I can only say that turnabout is fair play! Carlos owes you! LOL The poppies are beautiful, but as always when I see lilacs my heart and eyes stop on them. Just gorgeous, Nancy!

Happy Holidays from the Great Frozen Midwest! I'll be down to share your cocoa as soon as I can find my car. It's under the snow somewhere...
