Garden Angel

Garden Angel
Oil on Linen Board

This little angel joined my family shortly after the loss of my little pug Winnie Wiggles from GME encephalitis 2 years ago. This little angel statue resides in Winnie's Garden, the patch of ivy, roses and hydrangeas I dedicated to Winnie's memory in my back yard. I've wanted to paint this little angel for a while, and the holidays seem the perfect time to do it.

There is no time better than right now to show your tribute.
Blessed Winnie lives forever in your hear.
The picture is precious, and the Angel-well, there are no words to describe the feeling that you must have----of having it in your ivy garden.

I knew instantly this was for Winnie. She is just the cutest little thing in her santa bonnet!

The way you interpret the things you paint, the colors you add, it's just beautiful. Sometimes better than the real thing.

What a beautiful painting, Nancy, truly. I am so sad for your loss of your Winnie though. She looks like quite a little character and like she adores her mommy. That is one beautiful morning glory too...
