A Sunny Day

A Sunny Day
Oil on Canvas

A Fredericksburg, Texas, decorator made a special request last week that had me a bit nervous. He picked a few of my old paintings and asked me to combine elements from each of them. The result is Sunny Day, a 24X24 painting drying on my easel today. Sometimes it's a good thing to try something new, even if it's a bit daunting at first.

Today in the studio, I have three puggies who are asking for dinner two hours early. The cold weather makes them hungry and sleepy, and Annie wants to sit in my lap 24-7. There is nothing sweeter than a chilly afternoon in the studio with my favorite little helpers, sipping coffee and watching the cold roll into Texas out the front window after a long, hot summer. I hope you are somewhere warm today with loved ones nearby, anticipating homemade chicken spaghetti and after dinner naps...

Love the window behind the flowers and the glads and sunflowers make a beautiful and colorful combo! Glad you stepped outside yourself as it is just as wonderful as all of your other pieces, Nancy. Chicken spaghetti?
