Mistah Chu

Mistah Chu
Oil on Canvas

I am a newbie on Facebook and have had such a great time rediscovering all of my dogster friends there in the past few weeks. On Saturday I had a "guess the pug" contest and the winner received a free pet portrait of their pug. This little guy belongs to my friend Marsha, who guessed correctly. Don't tell Howard Pee Pugpants I said this, but Mistah Chu is a handsome devil, isn't he?

Please send me a friend request to your Facebook account if you have one! I'd love to connect with you!

Hi Nancy
Mistah Chu is a handsome boy!
What a fine job you did! The expression is priceless. What beautiful eyes.
Someone is going to be very happy with that portait- thats 100 percent for sure.
We don't have Facebook, it kinda slowed the computer down and we best not get any slower!

Thank you so much! There is such guilty pleasure in painting these sweet faces at the same time I hear in my mind the gallery in California tapping its toe and going "where is that floral painting we asked for 3 weeks ago...hmmm???"

Deer Any Nancy,

I seed my picshure on yer blog. I iz so embarassed about all da comments. My secreeterry has sum werds to say...................

Yes, this is my Pug, Chu. He is the light of our lives, he came to us from the SPCA Shelter in New Hampshire. His portrait was painted from a photo I took of him at Christmas in Gold Hill, a suburb of Boulder Colorado. Thank you all for the kind words about him. If you don't have a pug, I recommend you meet one soon. I am so lucky to have a friend in Nancy. She is so talented, she truly captures the life of her subjects, and her studio assistants are so cute.
