Portal

Portal
10X10
Oil on Canvas

Portal is a small work I haven't been able to part with. Sometimes a painting feels like it comes together all on its own, and from a distance in my studio I almost feel I can step through the doorway in Portal and visit another world.

We are traveling from Fredericksburg, Texas, back to Flower Mound today along with Anniebelly and will soon be reunited with the thundering herd of puglets at the Medina Foster Home for Wayward Pugs. I promise to share all the pictures and tidbits about our adventure as soon as we get our landlegs back.

I hope each of you have family and friends to celebrate the Fourth of July holiday with this year. Happy Fourth to you my dear friends!

Nancy, this is lovely...a bit different from your usual...I'll have to think about this one...gee that's what a painting is supposed to do for the viewer!!!
Congrats...looking forward to your return with new "stuff" for us...

I can see why you hang on to this Nancy. I want to get lost into that beautiful world I know is on the other side of the Portal.

I'm glad you're heading home because your furry family members will be so happy to see you.

A special thank you for your very generous remark on my floral painting from a successful National renown floral artist herself! hugs!

Wonderful, love the way the foreground leads you into the background; very well done!

Lunch some time? Take care.

Lush and dreamy in colors and design, and the doorway so beckoning... I wouldn't want to part with it, either! Lovely!

Hope Howard recupes well, happy Fourth to all!
