Possibilities and Irises

I dwell in Possibility
A fairer House than Prose
More numerous of Windows
for Doors

Of Chambers as the Cedars
Impregnable of Eye
And for an Everlasting Roof

The Gambrels of the Sky
Of Visitors
the fairest
For Occupation
The spreading wide my narrow

Hands To gather Paradise

~Emily Dickinson

Hugs to all my painterly friends today. I wish you all kismet.

Thanks Melissa and Emmitt - you always boost me up!! you are the best.

Laura, I think you are right. I sure wish they bloomed longer, thank goodness for photographs to work from!

Thoughtfully Blended, you are so kind. I'm so glad you have a follow button now!

Manon, thank you so much, I had a feeling you would like the verse. Hugs to you and Otis-Pants!

Hi Joan! LOL, your note appeared just as I was writing my replies. Thanks for your kind words, I confess I struggled with a balance of the "right amount" of impressionism vs realism. It is a daily struggle in real life, too sometimes.... ; )

Man, you nailed those irises, Nancy! I've been trying for a week to paint them and they look like ruffled hot air balloons! Beautiful sentiment, too!
