Duet - Iris Painting

24X24, Oil
Gallery Profile Canvas

Duet is a bird's eye view of some of the exotic irises from the Argyle Acres Iris Farm Carlos and I visited recently on their last day of the iris showings. I was so absolutely thrilled to find this haven of endless irises in every color imagineable. I could have taken a million pictures but a higher power decided that wasn't going to be the case, since the battery on my new camera died after we had been on the farm for about 30 minutes. I've got the date of the iris farm spring opening on my calendar for 2010 in bright bold letters, along with a note to self to "remember to charge camera battery."

How do you do this? Your iris paintings have so much life; you can see them swaying in the breeze...superb!

Or get a back-up battery. I need to do the same.

At 2' by 2' that's a good sized painting Nancy! The Iris' certainly are beautiful in their many, many colors. Maybe I should send you a few photo's of the one's I photographed . . .

Lovely as always : )

Nancy, I really like the simple composition of this one. It seems a little different for you, somehow. A lovely painting!
