Sunflower Painting, Live Theater, and Puggies

SOLD

I finished five new paintings for the Flower Mound Performing Arts Theater show this week. Sunflowers and Lilacs is one of the large works that will be hung at the community theater in Parker Square in Flower Mound, Texas, Tuesday evening and will be on display there for the month of June.

The performing arts theater is a cornerstone cultural center for the town where we live, and is a non-profit that has live shows year-round. I'm so glad to be a part of the theater events each year, and a portion of all proceeds from art sales goes back to support FMPAT.

I've made some wonderful friends at the theater, notably Linus the Pug Puppy's mom, social secretary, and chauffer, Susan. Linus comes by for playdates with my puggies every now and then. We hosted a puggy graduation pawty for him last week. You can click here to see the pictures of his rowdy, muddy, pug-filled day, if you dare.

All these flowers create a beautiful color combination! I like how the touches of purple under the pots leads me into the painting too.
