Afternoon Delight - Stems Gallery Debut

Afternoon Delight, 36X36, Oil
417 S. Main
Grapevine, Texas 76051

This weekend about 10,000 or so folks will converge on historic Grapevine, Texas, for Main Street Days May 15-17. Those of us who live nearby have learned (some of us the hard way) that you can't drive through the streets downtown from Thursday evening until sometime late Sunday evening. It's foot traffic only.

This is my newest painting, Afternoon Delight, which will debut at Main Street Days at the Stems Gallery on Main Street. I'm delighted to be a new artist at the gallery, owned by Pat Chappell and supervised by her sweet doggy greeter, Sandy, who says hello to everyone who comes in to gaze upon the dozens of floral sculptures and paintings there.

If you're in the area, Main Street Days is quite the event - the Budweiser Clydesdales will be there this year and I think I'm most excited about that. There are lots of other cool things, too, wine tasting, art galore, rides, live music and delicious giant corny dogs and pink puffs of fresh hot cotton candy. mmmm.

I hope you will stop by and say hi!
