Some Amazing Artists and Hydrangeas With a Twist

Hydrangeas and Limes
Oil on Canvas

I flew in from Scottsdale, Arizona, last night and tomorrow morning I will hit the road for Fredericksburg, Texas, to deliver art to The Good Art Company gallery on Main Street. This was my first trip to Scottsdale. The weather was beautiful and the hotel, the Mondrian, was nice, but the ice cream parlor in Old Town Scottsdale was the absolute best!

I'm so happy to be home, even for one night. I had a few minutes to check out my bloggy friends and was immediately drawn to the bright flowers Joan Sicignano is painting. I clicked on over there for a closer look, and lo and behold she had a little snippet about moo-wah! (that's Texas French for "me...") Thanks Joan, I am so honored and my gosh Joan is so talented. Check out her beautiful colored florals. They will make your heart long for spring.

I see Manon has another amazing image. I think Manon should do a book of her introspective and haunting works. Check out Judy Mackey's gorgeous blue irises. I wish you guys could see Judy's work in person, her paintings are so fat and juicy with color, photographs truly don't do her paintings justice.

Kim VanderHoek has some beautiful new landscapes - her violet shadows in her oak tree paintings are dreamlike and gorgeous. And last but not least my friend Nancy Elstad has posted some images on her bran spankin new blog! Hats off to Nancy - her painting of the Cafe in Southlake is warm and inviting - you would never guess how chilly it was the day she painted it outdoors!

Okay, I have to stack some paintings *carefully* in the trunk of the car now for the road trip tomorrow. Hugs from the traveler...
