Spring Soiret

I finished Spring Soiret this morning. I think I'm ready for spring.

Inspiration for Soiret.

I plant pots of geraniums every year and keep them
on the back deck, our little oasis from the Texas heat.

STUNNING! I love how loose this is and that you arranged the blooms to make the painting work. Now, I'M ready for spring too. Beautiful!

I wish I could go to the show in TX and see you work in person!

Nancy - I don't know how I missed your previous post! I do hope your husband is doing well after surgery. Wishing him a speedy recovery.

Well, Nancy, these are amazing - I love geraniums - and these are my favorite colors - I'm a freak about the color combos I put in my planters (they have to be lilac, magenta and orange - NO variation!), but then I have a striped deep pink & white that I try to save from year to year, and who can resist those hot pink ones! What a great technique you have!

Thank you for the kind comments - it is wonderful to have art bloggy friends who provide love and support! I feel guilty every time I paint geraniums because I have painted them almost too much over the past. But they call to me so I must yield. ; )
Carlos is my hubby who spoils me and cooks for me and brings me warm brownies to eat while I'm painting in the studio. We're waiting to hear the results from the doctor, he probably will need gallbladder surgery.
happy painting!!!

We love your paintings. They seem to bring an alive feeling of hope from with-in. We can feel your gentleness and love in your paintings and in your words. We wish we knew you long ago- but we are just "new-bys" ya know. Keep painting what you feel- keep saying what you feel. Keep loving- what a big tender heart you have
