Oil on Linen Board
The sun came back to Texas today, so I had a chance to snap some pictures of the new paintings that have been accumulating on the drying shelves in my studio closet. These images - especially the reds - are a little oversaturated by my little camera - someday I will upgrade my digital camera for something fancy like my friend Sharon uses for her gorgeous New England vistas. Whenever I get tired of the North Texas weather and flat scrubby plains, I cyberdash on over there to see what Sharon's been up to lately. Today there was some amusing birdy drama around her peanut feeder, you should definitely take a peep.
Purple Hearts will be traveling next week to a new home at The Good Art Company Gallery on Main Street in Fredericksburg, along with a whole slew of my other new works. Before I head to Fredericksburg, though, I've got a quick trip to Scottsdale this weekend. While I'm gone, I'll set up the post options to put up a painting or two in my absentia. Don't be alarmed if I don't answer your comments on the bloggy immediately, I'll sure be thinking about you guys while I am on the road and wondering if Bindu has run any marathons this week, if Patty Scarborough has poured any more chocolate on herself in public, and if Studio Dog is packing his napsack to follow his mom, Linda Blondheim, on her big painting adventure that will take her away from us a while in March.
Enjoy your families this weekend. I will be away from mine and sorely missing them, both the two legged and four legged ones alike....
