Things You Can Get Done on an Ice Day

Sunflowers on Blue
Oil on Canvas
Available at Dutch Art Gallery
Tuesday an ice storm swept across North Texas and my offices were closed. I decided to take the plunge with all that spare time on my paws and launched my new Etsy Shop! Thanks to Melissa and Judy for encouraging me to put this together!

Etsy is a fun site and has great bells and whistles. I especially liked being able to instantly find all the artists on Etsy in the Flower Mound area! I could walk over to these people's houses and bang on their doors and say HOWDY! I am your Etsy neighbor!!! Of course, they would probably call the police, but it's fun considering the possibilities.

Beautiful painting! I just stopped by your Etsy shop and it's great!
We had some of that ice last night and now we're getting 6 or more inches of snow! Ugh!

Sharon, you have an etsy shop! I didn't know. I hope you have curtains there, I am gonna go check it out. ; )

Manon, poor Otis, how on earth is he gonna potty if it is cold outside?

Hi Brittany! *waving paws* are you home today because of the icy weather in Dallas?

Hi Bindu! are you guys getting any ice down there? This is the first time it has felt like winter in Dallas this year. I've really enjoyed your glacier tour, tho it's making my toes very cold to look at your pictures. : )

Welcome to Etsy Nancy! I must remember to heart you so that I can easily find your shop.

This painting is so beautiful! I absolutely love your confident brushwork, the bold color at the focal point and how you softened the edges and grayed back the flowers behind the ones in the foreground to set them back. Stunning, really stunning!

Oh, and yes, there are tons of great workshops and painting events here in the OC! I've never lived anywhere that has so many opportunities for artists to learn through workshops and to sell their artwork. It's truly amazing!

Do you ever come back here to visit family or friends? (BTW - I used to live in Laguna Hills too.)

Thanks Kim! Good luck with your all woman art show in Orange. Wish I could stop by, it sounds like a great event and lots of fun!

Hi there Kim! YES we do come back to visit at least every year or 2, my husband's family is out there and our best friends live in San Clemente. They like to call us and tell us the skyrocketing value of our condo that we sold there just to twist the knife a little. ; )
If you could point me somewhere to get info on workshops in that area, I would so appreciate it!
thanks lady!
