Sunlight

Sunlight
20X24
Oil on Canvas

I put the finishing touches on Sunlight this morning after a marathon painting session all day Saturday. I was happy with the golden and green highlights on my pitcher, and then terrified I would ruin the whole thing with the wrong background color. I've been wanting to paint that little blue cannister for months. It was one of my bargain finds at Hobby Lobby on double coupon day.

We have little footheater running full blast in the studio today, and the puggies are snoring softly on their soft beds in front of it, only getting up if they hear something interesting happening in the kitchen. Carlos is making tuna salad for lunch and it's shaking out into the perfect Sunday around here. I hope you are having a peaceful day.

Manon, that panini press looks amazing. Carlos would kill for that, please don't tell him about it. ; ) Melissa, are we not the luckiest people on earth to have honeys who love to cook? I would be living on chips and M&Ms otherwise...
you guys hug Emmy and Otis for me!

The blue canister looks very pretty - I noticed it first in this painting. Is it metal?

Hi Bindu - it is blue glass with white flowers. Perhaps I should play up the blue some more?
