Fur Elise

Fur Elise
20X24
Oil on Canvas
For my mother, Elsie

This is a painting I finished today for my mother, Elsie.

When my three sisters and I were little, Mom would sometimes play her piano for hours. My favorite song she played was Fur Elise.

The painting Fur Elise reminds me of my childhood, and a Mom
who always had time to read to us, who wrote poetry, and who loved music.

I love you, Mom. Happy (early) Valentine's Day!

Sorry I'm so late in posting my comments...work has taken me on a few travels as of late...but now that I am able, I certainly wanted to "visit".

Our cottage, The Painted Nest is not abundant in PINK (gasp, I know, LOL) nonetheless the fun continues, as I participated in this past Sat. Pink Posting... :)

Happy to be here tonight, for I would not want to miss this! What a lucky momma! So glad you cherish one another!

Oh my gosh...that is just the sweetest thing ever! The picture, like all of yours, is amazing. If I start talking about your art I'll gush on forever. But this one was so full of Mama/Daughter heart that I had to say...love it!
